A Visit to the Library & Archive Collection at Tate Britain
Tate Britain

We are pleased to announce that the congregation and Friends of St Matthew’s have been invited to a 'Show and Tell' on the theme of the River Thames at the Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms, curated by the Records Manager and her colleagues. The visit will include a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the library and archive stores, which are not usually open to the public, and will be followed by a drinks reception at St Matthew's.  Booking is essential.  Please email claire@stmw.org or book here.  Meet 3pm at St Matthew's or 3.20pm at Tate Britain - main entrance at the top of the steps.

Remembrance Service
St James's Piccadilly

There will be a service of remembrance featuring the Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir and Band. All are welcome to attend.​

Sunday 13th November, 6.30pm
Faure's Requiem
Methodist Central Hall

This will be a moving act of remembrance performed by the Methodist Central Hall Orchestra and Choir. All are invited to attend and light a candle to remember all who have died.

Meet the Neighbours
Westminster Quakers Meeting House

As part of a series of ecumenical events by Churches Together in Westminster, the Westminster Quakers will be hosting an open evening. At this event, they will introduce and explain their worship, and then invite everyone to participate in a time of worship and reflection. All are welcome. St James' Piccadilly

Churches Together in Westminster and St James' Piccadilly will be hosting an advent service titled, "Don't circumvent Advent. Slow. Think. Experience." Everybody is welcome and no booking is necessary.

Wednesday 30th November, 1.05pm
The Deansbank Singers - Anthems & Readings for Advent
St Matthew's Westminster

The Deansbank Singers will present a concert of Advent music including anthems by Orlando Gibbons, Henry Purcell & S S Wesley.  All welcome. All proceeds in aid of St Matthew’s Church.

Come and visit the church and conference centre, and meet neighbours and colleagues. Mulled wine and mince pies.

Community Carol Service
A short service for all who live & work locally. Drinks afterwards.
 
Monday 19 December, 6.30pm
Christmas Carol Service
A traditional Christmas service by candlelight, followed by a Reception.
 
Saturday 24 December
Christmas Eve
11pm Traditional Midnight Mass
Celebrating the Birth of Christ, the Light of the World.
 
Sunday 25 December
Christmas Day
8am Mass (said, Book of Common Prayer)
11am Solemn Mass of The Incarnation

Contemplative Space

Set aside space and time for peace, stillness and quiet. During this time you are welcome to come and go as you please.

School Mass

If you are a member of St Matthew's Westminster and  would like to attend school Mass, please contact the church office.

Julian Prayer Group
