Stewardship at St Matthew's

Dear Friends

Although our church is first and foremost a community of people seeking to make sense of the call of Jesus Christ upon their lives, we also live with the reality that we must pay our way: for our clergy, our staff, the building, for ministry and mission and for the national Church.

Our giving is also an acknowledgement of God’s ultimate ownership of all that we have. It reflects the gracious giving of God to us; it reveals our hearts, shapes us and helps to form us in the likeness of Christ. Our giving should be characterised by generosity, gratitude and love.

Please reflect prayerfully about your commitment; give no more than you want and whatever you choose to give will be received with gratitude.
