St Matthew's Westminster
Patronal Festival
All are very welcome to come and celebrate St Matthew's Day, which is one of the highlights of our year.

This year, the holiday falls on a Sunday so we are adjusting our worship schedule. For the first time in quite some time, Choral Mattins will be sung at St Matthew's on Sunday morning. This is a sung form of the traditional Morning Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer. a much loved piece of Anglican worship.

Our festival mass will take place in the evening, with the preeminent theologian Dr Mark Oakley, Dean of Southwark, preaching.

We extend a warm welcome to everyone to attend these services, which are going to be very special.

SUNDAY 21st SEPTEMBER

O Almighty God, who by thy blessed Son didst call Matthew from the receipt of custom to be an Apostle and Evangelist: Grant us grace to forsake all covetous desires and inordinate love of riches, and to follow the same thy Son Jesus Christ, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.
